A form of government or social system in which individuals with psychopathic or persistent predatory personality traits have seized control and exert influence.
Etymology
Derived from the Greek words 'pathos' (suffering, disease, or feeling) and 'kratos' (power or rule). It was coined by Polish psychologist Andrew Lobaczewski to describe societies governed by those with pathological personality traits.
